There is something mystical about wearing a vintage ladies watch; I always like to think of the history of the watch when I gaze at it. Knowing the age of the piece I wondered what reason that it first was given to someone. Was it a 21st present that was preserved by the owner to then bequest to perhaps the next daughter in line? Was it a gift of a husband or that of a lover that wanted to impress? And why now is the vintage watch now in a pawn shop, after all of these years holding onto this time piece through wars and hard times what enticed the owner to pawn it?
I admire the workmanship that has gone into the vintage watch and the uniqueness of the antique makes it all the more exquisite to wearer. In the case of jewellery, wearing something that looks antique means more than fashion. It means stylish, sophistication and class; give me a vintage ladies watch over a modern piece any day!
