Acupuncture and Fertility Solutions
Can acupuncture be used to treat fertility problems? That’s one of the more prevalent questions that couples looking for alternative means of inducing pregnancy are asking. When combined with other non-traditional methods, such as herbal medicines, acupuncture has been used by many cultures for centuries.
There seems to be a symbiotic relationship between acupuncture and fertility. So, if you feel that western science is not doing enough to ensure that you get pregnant, you may want to give the Chinese medicine of acupuncture a chance.
Although researchers can’t explain why, women who use acupuncture in combination with fertility treatments such as in-vitro fertilization, are more likely to become pregnant than women who have not had acupuncture. This has been confirmed, so far, in two different studies. One theory is that acupuncture increases the blood flow to the endometrium, which helps to produce a thick lining around the uterus which enhances the environment for pregnancy.
