The X Men animated series first aired in the early 90s, but since then newer versions of the X Men animated series such as X Men Evolution and Wolverine and the X Men have aired in the 21st century. All of the X Men series are based off of the popular Marvel superhero team which has also provided inspiration for the X Men movie franchise and the X Men action figure lines. Long after their conception, the X Men continue to fascinate the public, providing entertainment as well as provoking thoughtful debate over the idea of mutants and how it relates to real life society.The underlying theme of X Men animated series is the idea of training individuals with mutant powers to use them for good and to benefit humanity.
