As a small business owner, I do my best to impart a highly professional image to all current and potential customers. I know some people are content to run their enterprise in a somewhat casual manner, such as literally working out of their garage or whatever. But that has never been my style. Right from the beginning, I’ve rented separate office space and have tried to equip the place with everything that a business needs in order to operate smoothly. This includes big equipment such as good computers and color copiers, and also something as seemingly simple as voice mail service. I’d be willing to bet that voice mail service is the last thing on an entrepreneur’s mind when he or she is setting up shop.
