South Dakota Fishing Reports and Walleye Fishing Techniques

Hi and welcome to the best fishing page in Eastern South Dakota. We don’t clutter you up with junk and links you don’t need. Nor do we hit you with a ton of popups that drive you crazy. What we do give you is the South Dakota fishing reports for the lakes in the Lake Preston and eastern South Dakota area. In general walleyes, crappies, bass, northerns, perch and anything else that may be biting.

Check this fishing page every day as it will be updated most mornings by Bo from the Bait Box or Toni(Bait Babe) from the Motel in Lake Preston, South Dakota. If the fishing is really hot Bo or Bait Babe will update the fishing report more than once per day.

If you have any fishing reports of your own to make you may do that by posting. Let us know what you are catching, where, when and what you were using for bait, etc. Just click the Fishing Report link and then make your report. Instructions, if you need them, are on the FAQ(Frequently Asked Questions) link at the top of the page.

This walleye fishing techniques article is a guest article. It’s pretty good walleye info and it’s also obvious the person is from Minnesota. Lol, the walleye fishing lake that’s the walleye capital of Minnesota is Mille Lacs. I’ve fished it hundreds of times for walleyes. For many years it was known as the dead sea but after some radical new fishing rules walleye fishing is now really hot. Anyway, here’s the walleye article.

Fishing is a sport that most people have tried at least once in their lives. It seems that no matter where you live there is some type of fishing available; whether it is freshwater, deep sea, stream or pond. The techniques that are used vary greatly, as well as the equipment that is needed. The equipment and techniques depend upon the species that is being fished. My husband and I do a great deal of freshwater fishing. I love the action of fishing for pan fish and bass, but you cannot beat walleye fishing for the great tasting fillets.
