The Rise of The Lactose Free Diet Nationwide
Some dietary researchers think that lactose intolerance is because we need milk when we’re younger, but when we’re adults we don’t need it really, so our systems lose the ability to process lactose. This could be, but society plays a part in lactose intolerance as well. Countries where dairy consumption is a large part of culture have little need of a lactose free diet, whereas places that have a largely lactose free diet have more lactose intolerance instances. Yet, lactose intolerance can occur in people who regularly enjoy milk and cheeses.
It is suspected that there is a link between antibiotics an medications that may be effecting the ability to process lactose also.
