Las Vegas is feeling the effects of a crashed economy more than most cities. As a result of the sub prime mortgage legislation that caused a real estate bubble, people were given loans that they never should have been allowed to get. With competition for property at an all time high, prices tripled and quadrupled, especially in places like Vegas. People moved to Vagas in hoards to cash in on the high wages that were being paid. Shoot, I could make more money parking cars than I did as an engineer. One could post a resume on monster or send it to a job opening and have a reasonable chance of getting a job. That is over with. A few years ago there were still openings for teachers and nurses, but budget shortfalls caused by dumb and short sighted politicians has made unemployment in Nevada some of the highest in our nation.

The demand for nurses is still there but the reality of how many can be hired is determined by how much money is available in a hospital’s budget. Now a nurse has to really have her resume in order and impressive to get on the short list of interviews. But nurses are not business savvy people. They are caregivers. When it comes to applying for an open position, she is going to need a nurse resume example to copy or use as a guide. As one would expect, a nurse’s resume has to have some very specific experience in it and also convey a low liability history.
