Are the home machines equal to what doctors use in clinics? Certainly not. One drawback of using a home machine is that it is not usable by all skin types. they work best on people with light skin and dark hair. Lighter hair people can of course use them but results will take longer. Dark skin people should not use home laser hair removal machines, because skin burns could occur, and the manufacturers of these machine do not recommend it. If you have dark skin at this time the only open option is to go to a clinic to have it done safely.
