My dad was not one who liked wearing mens wedding bands so he never had one. When my parents got married, the wedding was held outdoors and they ended up writing their own vows and wore non-traditional clothes. My mothers wedding ring was made by a long time friend who had his own jewelry business. For their fortieth wedding anniversary my mother decided to go at mens wedding bands. She heard my dad make a few comments about wedding rings so that gave her an idea to go shopping for a men’s wedding band.

She called me one day and asked if I would go with her to look at some men’s weddings bands. Since I had been married recently, she figured I would be of great help with selecting a ring. She ended up wanting something that was similar to her wedding ring, so we called their old friend who had the jewelry business and luckily he was still in business. So, we went other to his store and he was more than happy to make a wedding band for my father. The anniversary celebration went well and my dad was quite pleased with his new wedding band.
