Cosmetic surgery for men gaining popularity
Plastic surgery is a common procedure for people to undergo to change things with their bodies that they don’t like. For year these types of operations have been done mostly by women, but lately men have also started to be conscious about their looks. Every year thousands of procedures are performed in the United States.
One of the most popular forms of cosmetic surgery for men is the endoscopic brow lift. This is a minimally invasive procedure that reverses some of the sagging in your eyebrows. Previously, a forehead lift would have to be done to get some of the same effects. However, that was surgery that had several side effects, like a higher hairline (which balding men don’t want), and a much longer recouping time. Today, the endoscopic surgery has a short recovery time and leaves little scarring.
Another popular procedure with men is hair transplantation. This is surgery where patches of skin that is resistant to balding is moved to areas where you are bald. This is considered a cosmetic surgery procedure, and does have some recouping time involved. On the other hand, laser hair removal is also a growing type of procedure. A laser is simply used to damage the areas where you have unwanted hair growth. This is a simple procedure that doesn’t require “down time”.
In a world where looks are important for success, or at least perceived as important, plastic surgery will always be sought after by both genders. Even though women are still leading the pack, it looks like cosmetic surgery for men one day will close the gap.
