Zhu Zhu Pets have received a lot of attention this Christmas season, in large part, because of their short supply. We have not received a great deal of information about the products, however- so here we go!

Cepia, LLC released 5 Zhu Zhu Pet hamsters late this year: Chunk, Pipsqueak, Num Nums, Mr. Squiggles, and Patches. Patches has not sold separately, however- she comes with the ‘with hamster” accessories, such as the “Zhu Zhu Pets Funhouse- with Hamster”. Pipsqueak, Num Nums, and Patches are all girl hamster characters and Chunk and Mr. Squiggles are the guys.

Cepia has already released 4 new Zhu Zhu Pets hamsters- Scoodles, Winkie, Nugget, and Jilly. Also on the horizon are hamster babies, which are not robotic plush toys like the main Zhu Zhu Pet hamsters- they are plastic- but very cute! The new Zhu Zhu Pet additions are already in demand and can be found at some on-line stores, such as Amazon, but at several times the retail price.

All of this is in addition to the countless habitrail like habitats, accessories, such as blankets and beds and videos and games are also in the works. The bottom-line is it is likely that Zhu Zhu Pets will still be popular a year from now at the very least. If Cepia continues to show the innovation it has already, parents may have another toy to collect (remember the Beanie Babies?)
