The leader of the Autobots Transformers is Optimus Prime. The Autobots are a race of robots who believe in peace and justice. They are opposed by the Decepticons, who are the same kind of robots but the Decepticons believe in bringing order to the universe through conquest. the Decepticons are led by Megatron, Optimus Prime’s brother. Both Megatron and Optimus Prime are a leader-type class of robots who are more powerful and more intelligent than the usual Transformer robot.

The Transformers first started out as a cartoon series in the 1980s and was very popular. They became a cult hit. Recently, director Michael Bay’s Transformers movies which combined live action and CGI robots was a monster hit and did very well at the box-office.
