If your dog bites – fix it!
If you have a dog you are faced with several issues that might be bothersome or border to the irritating. Having you dog pee on the rug, or eat up your favorite pillow is part of the dog owner’s life. But there is one thing that a dog lover fears more than anything, and that is that their dog will bite another human being.
Dogs usually treat humans as other dogs, and biting is one of the methods they have to tell you that you are too close, invading their area, or that they are scared. Since humans have thinner skin than dogs, biting through might happen.
When a dog bites a person, the consequences could be lethal, both for the human and for the dog. The dog might puncture an artery in a kid’s neck, resulting in death. On the other hand, in some areas of the world a dog biting a human means the dog must be put to death, with out trial. A dog’s life is unfortunately valued lower than human, and even if the human isn’t hurt badly, dogs can be put away for a simple mistake.
Fixing dog biting problems is therefore important, and perhaps the aid of a dog trainer is required.
