Barney and Friends Costumes For Kids
Barney and his friends Baby Bop, B.J. and Riff are very popular with kids. So why not choose a Barney costume for them for Halloween or some other fancy dress get-together? You couldn’t get more colorful outfits. That’s for sure. Barney in his bright purple and green will stand out in any crowd. B.J. is even more noticeable in his mainly yellow and purple colors. Baby Bop is just as colorful in his green and purple.
Barney being a Tyrannosaurus Rex is the only meat eater amongst the three. The other two are quite content eating plants. Of course, in your costume, you will be a very scaled down version of the real thing. Tyrannosaurus Rex was 40 feet long, one of the largest dinosaurs to roam the earth. His stride alone was 12 to 15 feet long.
Barney was created in 1987 by Sheryl Leach who wanted an educational TV program which would appeal to her son. Ironically, the program has been criticised for not being educational enough.
