Having your child pass away right before your eyes is one of the worst experiences any could have. The simple fact is that many childhood diseases are treatable and in some instances manageable if no treatment options are available. One of the worst, though, is cancer. Childhood cancer victims and treatments centers providing relief from the effects of this wasting disease are asking for your help in giving back to those who have given the most to ensure that the victims are comforted in their last days on this planet.

Too many of those unsung everyday heroes are slugging it out with death with every ounce they have. Everything from providing the treatments, the care and special handling of these precious little ones to researching new ways to fighting this killer.

One such charity work that is determined to give back to those who give their utmost is a Childhood cancer victim. The surviving living family of one of the lost has a message for you.

Read the story of a brave family intent on showing the boot to death by giving aid to those who in the trenches fight the good fight.

Excerpt:
On the 26th of November 2003 I experienced something that no parent should ever have to and that was loosing a child. My precious little boy Gabriel was taken from us after spending almost 3 months in the Neonatal ICU of the Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne.
The Doctors and nurses were like angels to us. They made us feel so comfortable throughout our long days and nights sitting in the ward. Without them we would never have been able to fully understand the situation we were facing and the challenges that lay ahead.
The day that Gabriel died I made a promise to myself that I would do everything in my power to help the Royal Childrens Hospital.
So I have taken the drive of my promise and my passion of cycling and put the two together to raise money for these incredible people.

I will once again be taking part in the Murray to Moyne cycle ride. On the 27th and 28th of March 2010 our team of riders and support crew will set out from Echuca to cycle the 520km journey to Port Fairy – in 24 hours!

You can give $1 or $1m as every cents counts.
