When looking for moving companies, find out if the moving company has experience with relocating hot tubs and actually knows how to move a hot tub. Then when you hire the company, make them aware that a hot tub is involved in the move. This will allow the moving company to take special measures for packing it in their removal van. Because of the space that hot tubs take up in a van, you may be forced to pay a ‘bulk article charge’ for the hot tub. Also make sure that you have the receipts for the hot tub purchase so if the hot but is damaged during the move, you can prove current retail value.
