Having The Hearing Aid Talk With A Parent
Do you have a parent that you need to have the “time for a hearing aid” talk with? If so take them for a walk in the park or somewhere. Allow them to walk a little ahead of you. You walk a few steps behind them and yet try to be watchful. There may be some kids moving around and playing and if your elders are unmindful and colliding with some of them in spite of warning, this is your chance to tell them that this could happen to them more often and might be a little too embarrassing. Try to convince them with love and compassion and impress upon them that the hearing aids are for their own good and self-dependence. There is no way they will refuse to wear them after this. I have tried it and it has worked with my parents in law.
