A good friend of the family always seems to be buying the latest gadgets, the nicest cars, and going on the most wonderful holidays with his girlfriend(s). When asked where he got all this seemingly endless pot of cash from, he simply replied with this: I Make Fast Money by Working Hard and Never Quitting, no matter what. Blah! I replied. “If the secret of financial success was through hard work, then manual labourers would be rich”. He told me that I have a very negative attitude and outlook on life and it was this ‘acceptance’ that things are the way they are, that was holding me back. I didn’t like what he had to say at all, but after a little quiet reflexion, I came to believe he was right. Accept your lot, and it’s all you’ll end up with!

A belief in yourself that anything is possible and the sky becomes the limit. Sometime after his words of wisdom, I have been able to look at my life from the outside in, and today I not only make much more money than I ever thought I was worthy of, but I have heaps more leisure time to enjoy it. It’s that work hard, play hard philosophy which I’ve adopted that has turned my life around for the good.
