Can students secure non credit based student loans?
Most students have no credit. So, is it possible that college students can secure financing all there own? Such as a non credit based student loan? Because normally to get credit you have to have good credit. It’s a catch 22. The number one question most parents wonder if there children can get a student or college loan without a cosigner. In other words parents don’t want to co-sign for there kids college student loans. College cost is staggering. (for parents who do not have any children in college yet don’t realize)
A good first place for all potential college bound people is to look into a Perkins student loan program. It’s federally subsidized with great student loan rates. Another program which gets over looked and it’s free government money, are student loan Grants. This is the number one first stop shop for parents who want their children to have student loans without cosigners. This is because if they get free government monies this will reduce the amount of the non credit based student loans they will ultimately need.
