Then we have easter Saturday when friends come around, we tend to have parties and barbecues for friends and family again with chocolate for starter, main, and of course dessert. Then we play games with the kids and let them make Easter decorations, do their painting of eggs, and with our children the tables and chairs and walls, bless them I know they are just being children.

But the best day of all over the easter celebration has got to be easter Sunday, chocolate chocolate and more chocolate. The children love going out to easter egg hunts and seeing the easter bunny running through the trees dropping eggs on their way, and I have to admit the costumes that you can get now are amazing, you can get easter bunnies and easter chicks in adult and children’s sizes, which to me when you are doing easter egg hunts make it that much more special for the children, they love it.

Dressing up in St Patrick’s day costumes and wearing green for St Patrick’s is one of the many traditions, of course there are others to, a lot of people like to eat green food, and for the men, I would guess that their favorite would be drinking the Irish stout Guinness. My friends favorite would be drinking the Irish whisky, although he does this all year round he seems to drink more on St Patrick’s day, he tells me he likes to participate in the celebration. Of course there are other ways to celebrate St Patrick’s day.

People from all over the world like to wear the shamrock, the three leaved plant. This dates back as early as the 17th century. Sometimes I wonder how this celebration has been going for so many years but as each year passes it gets bigger and better all the time. For instance Since 1961, Chicago has dyed its river green for the celebration, that has got to look amazing and is one of the things that I would love to see. In Seattle in 2009 over 20,000 spectators turned out for the celebration of St Patrick’s day and to watch the parade. To be involved in something like that must be amazing to have so much fun and love surrounding you, for me it would be a life time experience to be involved in something so huge.

For a bit of fun one of the traditions is that if a person is not wearing green on St Patrick’s day then you are allowed to pinch them, but it has to be done in an affectionate way. Pinching and affection to me does not go together so make sure on St Patrick’s day to wear something green.

They say that Birmingham holds the largest Saint Patrick’s Day parade in Britain, it is over two miles long and goes right through the city center, and organizers of the event say that it is the third biggest parade in the world after New York and Dublin.

The biggest parade in the world though is the one in New York, they sure know how to celebrate St Patrick’s Day, with over 150,000 marchers including bands, firefighters, military and police groups, and lining the streets watching this parade are over two million people, many wearing St Patrick’s Day costumes, that has got to be worth seeing.

Anger Management Activities and Classes

Anger management activities are very helpful as dealing with anger and its repercussions which can be very challenging. Being unaware of how to handle irritating and stressful situations may be a reason for many fits of anger and rage.

Most people recognize their problem with uncontrollable anger. Although there are many anger management techniques which would enable them to better cope with confrontational situations, some people are uneducated regarding these techniques and activities.

There are many anger management activities individuals can practice or participate in when attempting to cope with daily feelings of anger.

Many people with anger issues try the best to ignore them. By neglecting to talk about it or sweeping it under the rug some individuals assume their problem will disappear. Keeping it a secret is the key to dealing with it for some people. Denying the problem and refusing to deal with the anger issue solves absolutely nothing. In fact if you ignore the anger problem for too long, it can eventually become violent or deadly.

It is definitely better to accept there’s a problem and set out to find the solution. Some may choose a one on one counseling session with a counselor or psychiatrist. Others may feel comfortable in a small support group.

The use of the home sauna is now getting more and more popular as the years go by. Where in not so distant times going to the sauna was mainly done by people that visited the local gymnasium or similar fitness establishment, you are now just as likely to find that families often go to the sauna together. Although this may be considered by many as a bit wierd or eccentric, in actual fact family saunas are an age old tradition, especially in such places as Finland and Sweden where the sauna is reputed to have originated from.

Teddy Bear Museums

Since teddy bears have been around for about 100 years it is reasonable to assume, in all that time, some of them have been well loved and it is time for them to retire. Since there is no ‘old-folks home’ for teddy bears they are given to collectors, or a museum to sit comfortably and be admired.

Greenfield Village and the Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, is just one of the museums where a teddy bear may live his life in peace. This museum has hundreds of items on exhibit. There are several antique exhibits that include some of the first teddy bears ever made. Be sure and see all of the exhibits, as I recall, the bears are spread throughout the museum.

The Teddy Bear Museum in Naples, Florida, has over 4,000 bears on exhibit. Nearly 40,000 visitors from around the world visit the museum yearly. This ‘dream home for teddy bears’ has many displays including antique and limited edition bears, as well as bear paintings, sculpture, posters and collectibles. The museum highlights work by some of the worlds most imaginative bear designers working with various materials.
