The online world can be the biggest fear for the parents of young, impressionable kids. Bad sites are blocked by some parents with various kinds of computer software that help ensure their childrens’ safety while browsing the internet. Protecting our children from dangerous people is very important.
With the new GPS surveillance, the privacy laws become even more confusing. Who doesn’t want to be able to call for help and be located when they get stranded, or have an accident? But there are times when you don’t want people to know where you are, and it can be inconvenient for people to track you down. Monitoring the elderly, who have health issues, is a good use of surveillance. If an elderly person has heart problems, or is at risk of falling and injuring themselves, they have a much better chance of recovery and survival if someone can get to them.
