Some history on Fleece Throw Blankets

Mankind has tried all types of things to blanket himself in warmth. Animal skins such as bear, raccoon, rabbit and squirrel were more than likely the fist blankets. Animals were not that hard to catch, were the main food staple and man quickly learned that the skin of the animals would keep him sheltered from harsh weather. Of course there was the problem when the skins got wet they took days to dry.

As we progressed through time we had outside clothing and blankets for warmth; two separate layers. The lamb’s hide (sheep hide) came to be the best discovery by man because of the layers and natural oil on the fleece fiber repelled moisture and did not get wet to the skin.
